Ruthie

Ruthie is a small, sleek lab mix, with black shiny coat, white paws and tummy.  Born around July 4, she arrived in mid-October from Mississippi where she was found as a stray. She is a happy, tail wager and likes other dogs and people of all ages including young children. She has a sweet, quiet personality but also plays with gusto. She is clean, affectionate (lots of kisses) and obedient.  She is especially well-behaved and smart for her young age. Examples:  she leaves her crate and pen spotless after sleeping through the night; at 7 am we make a bee-line for the outside where she does her businesses after which, although eager for breakfast, sits inside the door, WITHOUT command, to have her paws wiped. She’s fast and loves to run but stays within the unfenced yard.  She learned commands sit, down, stay, come and no within days and is starting to fetch. Accepts leash and walks quite well with it. Ruthie likes chest and belly rubs, playing with her squeaky toys and she accepts her crate and pen with no barking or fussing. She has the run of the house after doing her businesses but her favorite is to lie near you while you work at your desk.  She’s an easy-going pup that will make any family really happy.
