Skylar came back to the rescue after 4 years of living with an amazing family. She grew up with 2 little girls who gave her the ability to live with children. She has been a perfect house guest since day one. One of the best fosters I have ever had the pleasure to be with. She does have great skills in being a family dog. She loves walks, loves meeting people. She is living well with my dog and does well with other dogs. Alice is a female mix Collie and American Pitbull Terrier. She is one of three puppies recued from South Carolina. Her sisters are Hazel and Barbara. Although Alice is almost all black, she does have a defining white stripe on her nose and a spotted muzzle which helps to define her from her sisters. She is snuggly once she can rest in your arms or on your lap. Otherwise, she is what we call a “wiggle worm.” She enjoys romping and playing and is very curious.

Barbara is the smallest of her littermates. She is a mix Collie/ American Pitbull Terrier. She is mostly black with a little white on her muzzle and paws. Barbara, like her sisters, is still on the small side, perhaps indicating that they will be medium size dogs, however, remember we can never guarantee their final size. Barbara’s name was chosen by her foster, in memory of the foster’s deceased little black cat who would always worm her way into the foster’s lap. Barbara has the same appeal, to just hold her. Like her sisters, she can be a “wiggle worm” when first picked up but settles down and can fall asleep in your arms. She loves people and enjoys romping in the back yard.

Coco is a mommy dog who started her life as a chained dog in Mississippi. Now freed, she is a sweet girl who will talk to you if you talk to her. She gets along with other dogs and is super friendly. She loves long walks, riding in the car and new adventures. Her curiosity is endless. She also loves squeaky toys and playing chase or tug of war. She can't wait to find a loving new home.

Deuce is a big energetic boy. He is toy/play motivated and wants all the attention from all the humans. Deuce only needs a ball and someone to throw it to make him happy. Deuce is currently working on his greeting manners as well as his basic commands. He is crate trained and house trained. Dixie was found wandering in rural Mississippi with her sister Trixie but appears to have been well cared for. Dixie is a very sweet, playful and energetic dog who is looking for love and affection from her forever family! She likes playing with toys and gets along well with our two large dogs who are five and fourteen. She loves people including children. She's not a barker and since she's been staying with us she's learned to sit and has easily picked up on house and crate-training. She's a true hound on walks, always sniffing for treasures. Dixie's a happy dog and would love to find her forever home!

The Dupree 4 were turned over to one of our rescue partners in rural Louisiana by an irresponsible owner. They are lucky to be alive. Their foster's home in Louisiana exploded and sadly, the foster's husband and two other puppies from this litter were killed in the explosion.

Drew might be the smallest one of her litter, but what she lacks in size she makes up for with spunk. Drew has no problem keeping up with the bigger pups in her litter. When you pick Drew up, all she wants to do is give you kisses! You’ll never meet a more adorable and loving puppy. Drew and her littermates came to A Forever Home after their foster home in Louisiana exploded. Sadly, two of their littermates did not make it. That hasn’t stopped Drew from growing into a sweet, loving puppy though!

Dusty is the sweetest boy you’ll ever meet. As soon as you pick him up, he just melts into you and is guaranteed to steal your heart. His favorite things to do are cuddle up for a nap, explore the wild flowers in his foster moms backyard, and play tug with his littermates. Dusty and his littermates came to A Forever Home after their foster home in Louisiana exploded. Sadly, two of their littermates did not make it. That hasn’t stopped Dusty from growing into a sweet, loving puppy though!
