Sasha from Harvey

Sasha is an incredibly sweet, cuddly dog.  She was rescued from Hurricane Harvey and, unfortunately, we have no other information about how she came to be in need of a new home.  We have fostered dozens of dogs and she is the friendliest one we have ever had.  She is a lap dog and demands attention from all people.  She is quite patient with little ones.  She would like to be pals with our dog but he isn't interested. She is friendly with all the dogs we meet on our walks. I don't know how she would be around cats as she would really like to be able to chase squirrels.  She is mostly house-broken and mostly cage trained.  We are working with her on simple commands.  Right now, she thinks "sit" means either, jump up and down or collapse on her back and wait for tummy rubs.

Sasha does have health issues.  She is currently undergoing heart worm treatment and can not go home until she is cleared by the vet which should be in mid to late January. Applications are still being accepted. You are welcome to meet her before October 27th.  She is such a treasure, you will fall for her.
