Scarlett the Doxie

Scarlett arrived from West Virginia with 6 puppies in tow. Mom became seriously ill with mastitis and required multiple surgeries to save her life. She was then diagnosed with a PDA, a heart condition, and required life saving cardiac surgery.  She has now been given a clean bill of health. Her fur has grown back, she's gained some weight, and she's regained her energy and pep.  She is such a happy dog and she seems to say ‘thank you' whenever she looks at you. We at AFH also say thank you to everyone that helped us pay these costly bills to save her life.  Scarlett is a loyal and devoted girl that follows her foster everywhere, who loves playing with other dogs, gets along with cats and children, and loves to snuggle whenever possible.  She's big for a doxie mix, weighing in at 40 pounds of love.  Scarlett is now ready to find her lucky forever home.
