Calypso

Calypso is a 6 month old Yellow Labrador Retriever. She is spayed and up to date on shots and worming.

Calypso is doing wonderfully in her foster home. She is such a quick learner! She was unsure of stairs when her foster mom brought her home, but with patience and encouragement, she tackled them in less than 1 day! She has already learned a few commands like “Come” and “Go to your bed”. We’re working on “Sit” and “Lay Down”. She is playful, but knows when it’s time to settle down. All it takes is a gentle verbal reminder and she’ll go back to her bed and take a nap. She also plays well on her own. One of her favorite past times is to summersault around on her bed with her favorite ‘Loofa Dog’ toy. Her other favorite thing in life is to just lay at your feet. She really loves being around her humans. She’s loyal and adoring. She’s wonderful with kids big and small, but with her puppy playfulness, she would be best supervised around smaller children just so she doesn’t accidently knock them over.

Calypso is completely house broken and crate trained. She’s got wonderful puppy energy and her foster mom thinks she would do really well with an active family.  Around other dogs, Calypso is curious, but submissive. New noises can sometimes startle her, so she would benefit from a gentle and steady human who can show her there’s nothing to fear! She is also learning about leash manners, and again is a quick study. He foster mom has been thoroughly impressed with her willingness to learn and the speed at which she does so.
