Buckey
is a healthy, blind Chihuahua mix. He is a very gentle,
affectionate dog who would do well in a home where he is an only dog, or
with other, very gentle dogs. He adapts quickly to new
surroundings and doesn't let his blindness hold him back. He learned
very quickly how to go out the doggie door, down 2 steps into the yard
and come back in with no problem. He is a little nervous upon meeting
new people, but doesn't take long to warm up. However, he is startled
easily by children and noise. Because of his blindness,
he should go to a home with older (age 12 & up) or no children.
