WoooWoooo! Look who just jumped off of the Hot Tamale Train...It's TOBY! Recently, his elderly owner decided that she could no longer care for him. Totally misunderstood by the shelter staff in West Virginia as being aggressive, this neutered 2 year-old purebred black and tan Chihuahua was rescued by AFH in the nick of time before he was to be euthanized. Our petite pooch packs a lot of punch in his 5-pound frame! Although timid at first, Toby is your best friend forever if offered a piece of cheese or two. He is a full-time lap dog, asks to be picked up (to get a better view of the world), snuggles under the covers at bedtime, and loves his foster family of 3 adults and 3 dogs. He struts his stuff on a leash and is crate trained. He has had a few accidents in the house, but is very good about 'pottying' in the fenced backyard.
