My name is Baby Girl and I am new to the area. I came from the southern part of Virginia from a tough situation, but I know that is behind me now and I am really excited about what lies ahead for me. I came to live with my foster family mid-March and my puppies are all going home soon. As most of us moms out here know, I took really good care of my babies and they are off to live their lives, so now it’s me-time. My foster family has a fenced-in yard that is so fun to go bouncing and running through and when I’m done playing and being silly, I’m all about belly rubs, ear rubs, chest rubs, back rubs, you name it! I’m still a little shy around new people, and I’m working on being more comfortable around men (my foster-brother is a 15-year-old boy, and he’s not too bad and I think he’s really going to grow on me). I found out that I need to get some medicine to treat heartworms before I can be spayed, but my foster mom has already started the first phase of medicine. It’ll take a few months for me to get all better, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to meet my future family while I’m healing and resting. "The best things are worth waiting for" is what my foster-mom says before she gives me a kiss.

Our darling, smiling Daisy is now a senior. Her favorite activity, adoption day, was canceled for 2020. She was a socialite at adoption events. She is doing well in foster care. She likes most dogs and is ok around two of our dogs but does not tolerate being around our blue tick coonhound. Daisy is not the kind of dog who ever wanted to cuddle on the couch--she is content to be in the room sleeping on the floor or in a different room as long as she knows you are nearby. She has arthritic pain in her hind legs, but has medication. She has separation anxiety and would need a home where there are other dogs or humans at all times, but would do best with older children and adults.
