If you purchase multiple tickets, you need to provide information only for “Attendee 1” on the checkout form – apologies for the confusing interface!
AFH is happy to announce our first 50/50 raffle and YOU can win up to $20,000 while helping us to save lives! As you may know, AFH has saved many thousands of abused, neglected, abandoned, and unwanted puppies and dogs over our 20 years of operation. As you know, vet care is expensive, and prices continue to rise.
Not only will proceeds from this raffle help us to continue to provide quality vet care for the animals in our care, but it will give us a little cushion to cover extraordinary medical costs such as surgeries, heartworm treatments, and emergency medical situations.
Tickets are $20 each and ticket sales will be limited to only 2,000 tickets! These odds are much better than playing the lottery!
The winner will be drawn on the 4th of July to celebrate America and hopefully YOUR win!
Note – this is an online event. You do not need to be present to win.
Due to the potential value of the cash prize, we are asking you to provide more contact information than we typically do for our raffles.
Please read the Terms and Conditions (below) for more information.
—- Terms and Conditions —-
All entrants of a 50/50 Cash Raffle benefiting A Forever Home Rescue Foundation (AFH) (“Raffle”) must be at least 18 years of age. By entering the Raffle, you agree that you have read, understood, and are bound by these Terms and Conditions.
All Raffle entrants understand and agree that they are entering for a chance to win 50% of the Raffle proceeds (cash prize). Each $20 Raffle ticket represents one Raffle entry, and up to 2,000 tickets will be sold. The Raffle will gross up to $40,000 with a potential cash prize of $20,000. There is no limit (other than the 2,000 maximum ticket sales) to the number of tickets that may be purchased at a time.
All sales are non-refundable. You will receive a confirmation of your purchase via email.
You DO NOT need to be present to win, as this is a virtual raffle.
AFH will first attempt to contact the winner by phone at the number provided at the time of ticket purchase. If AFH does not immediately reach the winner by phone, an attempt will be made to contact the winner via email message to the email address provided at the time of ticket purchase. If AFH is unable, within 48 hours of the drawing, to reach the winner by phone or email, written notification will be sent via first-class mail to the address provided at the time of ticket purchase. If AFH is unable to make contact with the winner within seven (7) business days of the drawing, the prize will be donated to AFH.
The cash prize will be considered ordinary income for tax purposes. Please consult with your tax advisor to determine what your personal tax liability would be, should you win the Raffle. To enable appropriate reporting, the winner will be required to provide their taxpayer identification number (TIN) to AFH prior to collecting the prize. The winner agrees that all sales, use, and other taxes or fees are his or her full and complete responsibility. Furthermore, the winner hereby agrees to indemnify and hold AFH harmless from any and all liability related to the Raffle and/or the prize, and the winner agrees to not hold AFH liable for any action derived from the use, transport, or enjoyment of the prize. It is the responsibility of the entrant to comply with any federal laws or regulations as well as any laws specific to the state or locality in which the entrant resides.
In the event of a conflict between the Terms and Conditions of this Raffle and Virginia law, Virginia law shall prevail.
By entering the Raffle, you grant AFH a non-exclusive, worldwide, paid-up, royalty-free license to use your likeness and name in perpetuity in any future AFH publications, which may or may not include appearing on AFH’S website, social media, and/or printed publications.
Every entry has a 1/2000 or better chance to win. No more than 2,000 tickets will be sold. AFH, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to refuse an entry and/or disqualify a winner if AFH determines that any of these Terms and Conditions are not met. No portion of the Raffle ticket price is considered a charitable contribution for purposes of tax deductibility.
