We adopted a little black Pomeranian puppy from you in the summer of 2006 (I believe his original name was Mickey, we named him Buzz). Buzz has been the most wonderful dog. He turned 12 in May. He has lived a very full life, enjoying many adventures with his family. Two years ago we moved to SWVA and Buzz got the opportunity to become a therapy dog. He and I have had a wonderful time visiting our local hospital and some nursing homes. Everyone loved him.
Unfortunately about a month ago Buzz was diagnosed with a heart condition. And this week we lost him to what they believe was a heart attack. Very suddenly I have lost my constant companion. The outpouring for our Buzz on FB has been overwhelming with the people he has come in contact with, especially over the last few years in his therapy work. Some of the people he touched have asked about making donations in his name. I have asked them to make any to you since you allowed us to love and care for this sweet dog for the last 12 years.
I know that you have many special dogs that you have adopted out. I just wanted you to know a little something about this one. I’ve attached a picture of Buzz at his last visit to the hospital earlier this month.
