This litter of 3 were rescued from a neighbor who had an unwanted litter. Mom is being spayed. Charlotte is the snuggler. She loves to sit in your lap and burrow into your shoulder. She also loves to play with her siblings and steal their toys.

Yellow Bird is an adorable Labrador Retriever mix. His mom is a purebred black Labrador Retriever, but dad likely was a Hound mix. He is a typical, sweet pup. Animal Control picked him up from his owner.

The mother of these pups looks like a pure-bred Yellow Lab and dad was believed to be a Golden Retreiver. These adorable pups will be comin to AFH in the next two weeks.

Watson is a fun, social and loving companion dog. He enjoys visits with everyone! He  loves to lay next to the humans in his life and just relax. He does well on leash. That said, when he sees a squirrel he will pull and tries to chase it. Watson is working on crate training.  He is a wonderful dog who deserves someone that has time to devote to him and will be his forever family.

Yoda is a purebred miniature dachshund ~ sometimes fun comes in the smallest of packages! Yoda is pretty low maintenance; he loves to walk around the yard, have a nice bone to chew on and a comfortable bed to snuggle in (with a blanket to hide under when it’s chilly!). Unfortunately Yoda’s previous owner was unable to continue to care for him due to her health issues, so in the later stages of his life, he finds himself without a home to call his own. He still has plenty of good years left to entertain you with his funny personality. Aren’t you looking for a special little guy like Yoda?

This young little guy was bought by a family who later gave him to a friend. Unfortunately, the new owner worked long hours and could not give him the time he deserved. As a result, this little guy is not completely housebroken and will need someone who will have the time and patience to train him.

Yogi is a chihuahua manchester terrier mix. She weighs 8lbs and has a beautiful short black coat. She was given to a family only to find out they have allergies. She is the world's sweetest dog. She is cuddly and affectionate. We have had her only a few days but she fits right in with the other mixed dogs and family members and loves to be held. She is housetraining and healthy. She will be an amazing addition to her new foreverhome.

Yoshi is a pure-bred Goldern Retriever, born 11/1/2006. He is being given up because his owner is leaving the country. He came to us with his favorite stuffed dog that has been with him since they day he was born. Yoshi has never met a stranger, greeting everyone. He loves being outside sitting and watching the kids playing.  He loves a treat and will sit and shake for itHe is a sweet boy that likes to be close to people.  He is housebroken and has had not accidents in the house. He really is a very sweet and kind dog.

Yoshi is a 6 week old Black Lab pup who came to us from Bartow, Georgia. We are told he came to the shelter after being found as a stray. Labs are very intelligent, highly trainable, and good with kids.

This little girl is in need of a home because her owner had to go to a nursing home. She was taken in by a neighbor, who is helping find her a new home. She is all black and very nice. She is also housebroken.

Yuki came to AFH with her siblings. Their mom is a Husky and dad was most likely a Black Lab. She is playful and loves attention. Come meet her in person and you will not be able to resist!

Breed: Great Pyrenees / Golden Retriever Mix

This poor girl is very sweet but a little scared. She was a stray who had her pups outside in the cold in an ice storm. She was found by a man who moved her into his dog house. Unfortunately only two of her eight pups have survived, most likely due to the cold. She is now safe in her foster home.UPDATE: Yuki has found a home and once she has weaned her pups and has been spayed, she'll be going to her forever home.
