Amie is the smallest of her litter.  She is very curious, and specializes in silent, quick puppy pounces. 🙂 Her litter was originally left outside a vet’s office sometime in the middle of the night in Mississippi. When the vet staff arrived in the morning, the puppies were freezing cold and soaking wet. Thankfully, a local rescue took them in and treated their intestinal parasites and upper respiratory tract infections and they have thrived!  Now, she has traveled over 600 miles to find her forever home here in the DC area.

Astrid's hobbies include following her sisters and chasing her tail. She likes an extra belly rub before going to sleep and enjoys plopping on top of whichever sister is closest. Abigail, Alexis Alfie, Alfred, Alina, Amy, Andy, Arnie are Shepherd mixes. These cuties are now available for adoption. Amy,Arnie Andy and Abigail have been adopted. Alina is the smallest pup. She looks like a small fawn, is sweet, and wants to be held. When I have her outside with the other pups, she runs in and sees me, then runs out and waits for me to pick her up and carry her tummy up into the house. She is a game player. Alexis is the alpha in the litter. The boys wait for her to eat or drink or choose a toy, but little Alina marches right up and challenges her. Then Alexis lets Alina know who is in charge. Alexis is also a game player but in a more cagey way than Alina. Alexis doesn't want to be caught. Alfie is Alfred's twin in personality and facial features. Just recently the two started changing color on the back hair. One got darker and the other started a herringbone pattern of hair on the back. They are the sweetest boys and live to get along with Alexis and please her. Arnie is the darkest pup and looks the most like a German shepherd. Arnie is the most affectionate and loves to get hugs and kisses. He would prefer a person to his sibs. He is a very sweet tempered puppy.

What can we say? This litter is so cute you just say aaww! They are half lab and half cocker. They came to us from the Garrett County shelter.

This litter of seven were abandoned after the owner and her boyfriend split up. They left all the pups behind and they were only rescued because a neighbor called Animal Control.  Unfortunately one pup did not make. Their breed is unknown, so we are listing them as Labrador Retriever mixes until we have a better guess.
