Minnie is a pure-bred Doxie that came to us pregnant from a puppy mill in West Virginia. She is shy but very sweet. She will run up to see people, but will not come too close. She will come near and run away and continue to do that several times, with coaxing. She her foster mom around and will let her hold her some. She is pretty good about going outside, but does have accidents. Minnie enjoys being outside and will explore some and roll in the grass. She feels the most comfortable on her blanket/bed which is her safe zone. She does not go in the crate any longer, preferring her blanket bedspread now. Her foster mom sees improvements all the time. Once her pups are born and weaned at 8 weeks of age, she will be available for adoption. The father of her pups is Chad, also a Red, short haired Doxie. Stay tuned. (There is an application pending on Minnie.)Minnie gave birth to 5 healthy pups today 10/26/08. There is one black and tan, one red, one mostly red with some brindling and two that are red brindled.
