Braddock Bark
Join AFH at Braddock Bark this Saturday, May 30th, 1-4 with our dogs and pups avaiable for adoption! We have some nice giveaways for the kids at our booth and sweet pups and dogs for everyone to snuggle! This event features non-profit and business booths, the doggie splash zone, food vendors and more! (Leashed pets are welcome.)
The event will be at Lake Accotink Park at the MacLaren Sargent Pavilion, 5660 Heming Ave, Springfield, VA. Additional parking at 7500 Accotink Park Rd, Springfiled, VA and take the path to the McLaren Sargent Pavilion.

ADESA National Rescue Dog Day
Adesa invited A Forever Home to join them to celebrate National Rescue Dog Day. Wendy and Skylight Ryleigh had a great time meeting their staff and dealers. It was an incredible experience partnering with them on such a fantastic event. We are grateful for their generosity and enthusiasm which brought so much excitement to our mission.
Thank You Cedar Point & Miss Kibbles!
A huge thank you to Cedar Point Elementary for hosting us at their second annual Paw-Palooza this April! We had an incredible adoption event, connected with many wonderful new volunteers, and loved being part of such a fun community celebration.
We are also especially grateful to Miss Kibbles for donating — literally — a van full of high-quality dog food to help feed our rescued dogs and puppies. Your generosity makes a real difference!
Thank you to everyone who supported us and stopped by to visit. We had an amazing time and are already looking forward to next year’s Paw-Palooza — we know it’s going to be even bigger and better!
ParkNBark Fun
We had an amazing time at Park N Bark this year at Ellanor C. Lawrence Park! It was such a fun event, and we loved seeing so many of our alumni stop by to say hello. We’re also thrilled to share that 7 dogs found their forever homes this week, with at least 3 more adoptions already scheduled for upcoming events! A huge thank-you to the Friends of Ellanor C. Lawrence Park for putting together such a wonderful event and helping make it such a success.
